My love for nature is at the core of my work, but I don’t seek to depict plants as they are—I want to transform them into something more. In these paintings, flowers and stems pulse with an otherworldly energy, shifting between beauty and something more unsettling. Their organic forms are exaggerated, their colors intensified, making them feel both familiar and alien.
Nature is often seen as gentle and harmonious, but there’s also something wild, untamed, even eerie in the way plants grow, twist, and take over spaces. Flowers, with their delicate petals, can be seductive, but they are also part of a cycle of survival, attraction, and decay. I amplify these dualities by pushing colors beyond realism—deep blues and electric pinks, fiery reds and acid greens—so that the flowers become something more than flowers. They become beings with presence, almost sentient, staring back at the viewer.
There is a fine line between fascination and fear, and I like to linger in that space. These plants breathe, expand, and mutate as if they have a will of their own. They are both inviting and intimidating, delicate yet aggressive. By making them larger than life, I ask the viewer to look closer and question their own relationship with the natural world—not just as something to admire, but as something powerful, unpredictable, and very much alive.
